Dementia Counselling is here to help with some of the challenges living with dementia can bring.
We offer a dementia-appropriate therapeutic relationship for the person with a dementia diagnosis or the family carer.
Dementia Counselling is run by Jurgen Wolfram Schwarz who is a qualified counsellor and therapist.
Jurgen has considerable dementia experience from working at the Alzheimer’s Society, the leading dementia charity, providing support to those with dementia and their families and carers. He has counselled with Mind (the mental health charity) and the NHS (mental health) and is a volunteer with the Samaritans and Cruse Bereavement Support.
Dementia Counselling is based in Devon, where we offer in-person sessions in central Exeter. See In-Person Counselling for further details.
We also offer Zoom/telephone sessions which can be accessed anywhere in the UK. See Online Counselling for further details.
We offer a free “Get-to-Know” session (via Zoom or telephone) to help you and your counsellor decide whether to proceed with further (paid) sessions (see Fees for details). To book a “Get-to-Know” session, please use the Contact & Booking form on this website.
